The Flight

* Flights take off at sunrise and floating at heights of 500 to 2000 feet on average, this feeling of peace and tranquility is apparent from the extent of sighs and smiles as the earth seems to slowly descend below you whilst the views rapidly expand.

* While you effortlessly drift over the treetops, wildlife, lakes and rivers, cultural sites, local urban homesteads, landmarks like Sigiriya Rock, Golden Buddha and many more are in the view.

* Your Pilot will be happy to answer any questions you may have, so please feel free.

* Children under 7 will not be allowed to take the balloon flight and under 16s have to be accompanied by an adult. However, please talk to us about your child.

* Pregnant ladies please refrain from taking a flight.

Ballooning season / Dress

* Hot Air ballooning is seasonal and can be done only during the months from November to April. Balloon flights in Sri Lanka are currently done only at sunrise when the climate is cool and the winds are calm. Surveys in the past have shown that during May to October the climatic conditions are not favourable.

* Dress casually and comfortably for the weather, it is a little warmer while the sun is out. We also recommend closed toe shoes to opened toe or high heeled shoes as we want to protect your feet just as much as the rest of you. Short skirts are not recommended.

* A hat or cap to protect you from the heat of the burners.

Rates for the season 2014 / 15

Adult – US$ 195/- per person
Child – US$ 140/- per child – between the ages of 7 – 12.

Flying season is from November – April every year.
